David Schwartz

David Schwartz is the Research Officer with the Partnership and Business Development Division at IDRC. In 2002 he obtained his Master's degree in Environmental Studies from York University after completing field research on the Commercialization of Microfinance in Bolivia. While in Bolivia, David worked with the Fondo Financiero Privado PRODEM. Prior to his Master's studies, David worked as a Financial Assistant at CIBC World Markets, where he earned qualifications as a Chartered Financial Analyst, Level I. David also holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.
